Remedial Massage
Although remedial massage has its own techniques it is based on the strongly human instinct to hold or rub a place that hurts. While massage is applied to the soft tissues of the body (muscles and ligaments) it has beneficial effects on the nervous and circulatory systems of the body. Techniques may be used to relax, strengthen or stimulate.
Massage helps to ease tensions and knotted tissue, increases the circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system which helps to eliminate waste material. It also helps to break down adhesions and restore strength and mobility after injury.
