Meet the team

Rhys Owen

Rhys graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan with a distinction. He has since gone on to work in Lichfield, before joining the Lansdown Clinic.

Rhys has a keen interest in the management of neck and low back pain, together with treating sports related injuries and improving functional performance. He is passionate about the health benefits of chiropractic and believes that addressing the underlying cause of a problem is paramount.

Rhys is dedicated to providing patient centred care, promoting the profession and educating the public about chiropractic. He firmly believes that prevention is better than cure, and aims to educate patients on the importance of spinal health and general wellbeing.

During his time at university, he worked closely with the Welsh Rugby Union Women’s squad, researching the effects of playing Rugby and its impact upon neck function. In the future he aims to continue his involvement in chiropractic research, focussing on patient measured outcomes of chiropractic care.

Rhys has an interest in most sports, in particular squash where he represented Wales as a junior and West Wales at senior level. It is through sport that he first discovered the benefits of chiropractic.
