Hi, my name is Kirsten van Nispen. I have always had a passion for well-being, health and how to be happy and find the meaning of life. I have always loved psychology, philosophy, meditation, and health. I am always with my nose in some book on what and why people do the things they do. In my early childhood, due to illnesses in my family, my family had to make some significant lifestyle changes. So, from an early age, I was very aware that the food choices and lifestyle choices that we make can have an enormous impact on our lives and health. From removing stressors, changing diet, talking therapies, to relaxing walks in the woods to get some healing from the nature around us, they all seemed to have a place in finding the optimum health and well-being level that most of us are looking for.
My educational journey started about 25 years ago by studying Organic Agriculture, wanting to feed the world healthy, happy food, without creating any more damage to our wonderful planet. This passion soon started to extend to a wish to help and connect with people, as I became a mother of 3 exciting, tiring, wonderful children. I found this, with my limited time, as a Lactation Consultant and Holistic Massage Therapist and Bodyworker. Both these roles involve counselling/ coaching and working closely with people and helping to make them feel empowered. This satisfied a need in me to work with people, get to know what makes people tick and helping them at the same time. I love the combination of one-on-one counselling and therapy sessions and running workshops and courses.
With my children all grown up and more time on my hands, I decided to add to my tool kit the skills to help people on a more profound level. Looking for something that combined my interest in Health, Psychology, and Nutrition I found my new challenge: Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching. This seemed to tick all the boxes of my interest. As a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, I work together with the client to take small, sustainable steps to change. This usually ranges from looking at nutrition, sleep, stress management, and exercise. Every person is different, and needs vary greatly. This is what makes my job so interesting and a challenge every time. As a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, I create a supportive, safe and non-judgemental environment to explore your goals with regards to your health and well-being. Together we will develop a step by step program to establish sustainable changes, that will help you feel empowered to achieve your optimum well-being. I'm looking forward to helping you on your journey towards a healthier you!
